Hello caravaners!
As we promised in our last article, we had divided the main National Parks to visit by caravan into two articles so that it would not get too long. In the previous articles We visit parks such as Aiguas Tortas, the Picos de Europa, the Tablas de Daimiel or the Doñana National Park. Are you staying to see which ones we discover this time?
We started!
This park is a group of islets located about an hour by boat from Mallorca (approximately 10 nautical miles). Due to its, between quotes, difficult access, the park has remained practically intact, preserving a large part of the coastal landscape of Cabrera (it is considered one of the best in the Mediterranean).
About 120,000 people visit this park a year, the fourteenth in number of visits nationwide. It was declared a National Park in April 1991 and is considered one of the richest and most interesting bird and species centers.
The island of La Palma (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) is the place that houses this wonder of nature. This park is the result of the evolution of centuries and centuries of volcanic eruptions that have formed a truly extraordinary place.
It was the second area of the Canary archipelago to be declared a protected area (after Teide). Thanks to the mild climate of the islands, any time of the year is considered optimal for visiting the park.
Who has not fallen in love with the Galician coast when they have visited it? This park includes the Galician islands of Ons, Cíes, Sálvora and Cortegada. It is the only national park in all of Galicia and has around 400,000 annual visitors. It is the tenth most visited park in Spain.
This park, with free entry every day of the year and 24 hours a day, is located in the province of Cáceres, specifically in Villareal de San Carlos. In the surroundings of the park there are diverse and varied types of accommodation. It is specially designed to access with the car or caravan in our case, park it and make the tour on foot to take pictures and enjoy beautiful landscapes.
Immersed within the Central system, it is situated between the Sierra de Gredos and Ayllón (between the provinces of Ávila, Segovia and Madrid). Its highest peak, which surely sounds familiar to you, is Peñalara at 2,428 meters high. It is ideal for walking routes, climbing or simply observing the beautiful landscapes that this park offers.
Not everything in Granada is visiting the Alhambra (which too). Not everything in Almería is visiting its Playa de los Muertos. Prepare a magical trip to these Andalusian provinces to see the incredible landscapes of the Sierra Nevada. This park receives about 780,000 annual visits and is the sixth in number of visitors in the national territory. In addition, Sierra Nevada is one of the most used destinations for snow and skiing in the winter months.
This park is located on the Teide volcano (the highest peak in the Canary Islands with 3,718 meters of altitude). In addition, Teide is the third largest volcano in the world. The park was the most visited of 2008 of the four national parks found in the Canary Islands. It is visited by about 4 million people a year, which makes it the most visited park in Europe and the ninth in the world.
Canarian National Park, this time located on the island of Lanzarote. It is a park of volcanic origin that has more than 25 volcanoes, I feel some very famous such as the Montañas del Fuego or the Caldera del Corazoncillo. They still present volcanic activity today.
And here the routes through some of the most magical and beautiful national parks of the peninsula and its islands! Do you know any of the parks? Any advice for us and the readers of this blog? Leave us a comment with your opinion.
Good afternoon. I am totally new to these caravanning issues, and I already knew that in Spain we have many and very good national parks, but upon entering this page I was hoping and I hope you could inform me of the sites and special routes for motorhomes and campers, specifically, places where you can park. or camping or refilling drinking water or electricity or emptying the gray or black tank, without having to enter a campsite, that information from Spain and the rest of Europe would be a real luxury.
Thanks a lot.
A greeting.
